Actually

As a matter of fact it's the rules 1 and 4 that define a "Nuzlocke Challenge". Also the rule 2 is applied 99,9% of the time, but it's not necessary for the play to be considered Nuzlocke...

@NoahTH

Actually, they seem pretty lax to me.

Not to say they aren't strict, it's just that I've seen some VERY intense nuzlocke runs out there.

Sorry my english

This time you aren't going to use the 1 hp rule (the pokemon is dead!)???

Just finished reading your other nuzlocke!
Now start this one!! Good luck!

@Drixi: Well, in this game your pokemon only can die in battle, you can have a poisoned pokemon during all the game in your party and it's hp will never decrease.

I suppose that the reason of that is because the technology in Unova is greater that in other regions (maybe for that reason you also can use a single TM a unlimited number of times) for that reason is that their pokeballs keep them alive,

@NovaBee: you are correct

I think that it should also be a rule in nuzlockes that all shinies are immortal, because they aren't really special at all besides their color, so THAT would make them special.

@Ginger: That would make the nuzlocke rules redundant.
